Casinos and online websites are not the only people getting ready for the United States to legalize certain forms of gambling, at least one satellite company is preparing for the change in law.
DishNetwork has announced that they have added a television channel that will be devoted to many games, including some of real casinos biggest card games.
For starters, the channel will feature six different versions of the card game solitaire. Scorpion Free Cell and Pyramid are a few of the solitaire games offered.
Other games that will be offered by the channel include popular favorites, Scrabble Scramble, Mahjongg, and the dice game Yahtzee.
While these games are popular, nothing will compare to the excitement of the casino card games that the channel offers. Blackjack, possibly the most popular of all casino card games, is available for players to play.
The channel most certainly is in preparation of the U.S. moving toward legalization of gambling. If and when that move occurs, it will be a relatively easy transition for DishNetwork to take their current free games and turn them into real money games.
Even as of now, if you subscribe to DishGames, you will be automatically entered to win $1000 in cash or prizes every month. There also will be a leader board that will display high scores from around the country.
To get to DishGames all that a person needs to do is tune to channel 100 and select Games and then DishGames and that will lead them to a menu to pick their favorite game.

Sunday marks the end of an era at Golf Channel as the long-running “Morning Drive” program will air for the final time.

The network announced earlier this year that changes were coming, including a complete relocation from its Orlando offices into the NBC Sports studios near New York City.

Some are making the move, but many are not, including some associated with “Morning Drive,” like Gary Williams — who started as a co-host in 2011 — Robert Damron and Lauren Thompson.

The network recently announced the hiring of Shane Bacon, who will serve as a co-host for a new, live daily show, “Golf Today.” Fellow hosts are Damon Hack, Anna Whiteley and Jimmy Roberts. That show debuts on Monday, Jan. 4.

Sunday’s broadcast should be an emotional one. It starts at 10 a.m. ET and should have plenty of highlights spanning the show’s tenure.

Golf Channel, which celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this year, airs in more than 70 countries and nine languages.

Thompson is leaving the network and has not released her future plans.

Paige Mackenzie was a co-host who said via social media she’ll be heading west to Arizona, but will still be a part of the Golf Channel studio programs and tournaments. She was an analyst during NBC’s U.S. Women’s Open coverage and is expected to see her role on LPGA broadcasts grow in the future.

Williams’ future plans are unknown — other than that he will not be with the channel any longer — yet he wished those making the move to Connecticut all the best.
